  • Trying to live ? Living to operate?

Which is it? Well it's Saturday so when I awoke today this inquiry popped. I'm still toying having an appropriate answer so bear with me somewhat. Trigger might be a gruesomely long week ending late Friday night. Anyway. That is it truly?

Now on this part of the world, my standard workweek is 50 hours in the office, weekends off (fortunately!), another 2 hours typically every single night so that it can add up. Add to that 40% of time spent out of the country I commence to question quality of live. Cash is good so which is a motivator. I really like my job even though it isn't that exciting (I'm in the printing industry). I've got a great boss - truly (rare statement coming from me you need to know) and I'm encompassed by fabulous, young, energetic, motivated and caring colleagues that really wants to make change. Couldn't be much better right? Well I also deeply love my family. Fabulous wife and wonderful mother to your model daughter that is one in addition plus a straight Students now finishing her IB. So what exactly is this all about then?

    I'm complaining!

Do you know what? Once i was fired 2 years back I spent the best Three months of my life - literally - among jobs. I needed money in the bank - and cash within the notice period. It took me merely a month to discover a great (better) new position and so i had on a regular basis on earth to focus on the points I love (my family) and the actions and desires I have been such a long time pushing off. Everyday, when I wake up each morning - as well as if my work every day life is as great as I happen to be wanting to project - I long for the three months to return.

I recently read your site, an extremely depressing one. The point was something such as - why do we work? We have been born, visit school, get degrees, get yourself a job in most cases (well the majority of us) make enough money simply to cover monthly of expenses then by 65 or so we retire and also on average there exists a couple of years until we keel over. That isn't a life - seriously. Your site stopped short there but was type of arguing that we ought to be entrepreneurs. I developed a few comments - no response.

But he/she had a point. The majority of us try to live. We really don't live to be effective. We never should but what we should REALLY should do would be to attempt to change our lives somehow - much like me - revisit the idea in your life where we really felt that life was best, and then there was a balance between work-life, family-life, friends-life etc. so that we get the qualities - hopefully that every day life is all about.

You realize me right now. I'm all about change. This isn't another piece to awake one to think change and do change. No this is for you (and that i) to wake up and smell the roses and have - Is that this the very best I'm able to do? - and "is this the life I want" - am i going to be at liberty easily, like I'm statistically set to become, leave mother earth right after retirement age (well hopefully not of course however, many do!).

I believe that no. Don't accept life since it is! You are living your daily life. No-one is living it to suit your needs! Take calculated chances - all of us have responsibilities to family, creditors etc. so these chances driven by decisions must be calculated. Maximize possible outcome and mitigate risk. If you can and you've got the slightest feel and belief this, if perhaps well, can transform your lifetime for the better - well do it!

In the event you wonder - I want to change my life. I don't want to spent 38% of my waking hours working and 21% sleeping (I do not sleep much!). That leaves about 40% time to do things i love and stay with those who I enjoy be around. I prefer my colleagues but I love my children! I want to change and my plan's to make an internet business that can turn around enough to make a living for my loved ones and I but permit me to work the amount of time and in the places I decided. Status quo is the fact that I'm about 0.02% there therefore i only have 99.98% to visit but as the saying goes, the initial step is regarded as the difficult one.

Take this as rant from a guy who blows steam or pause for a minute and think: Have you been happy? How could you be?

Possess a great weekend - and become with friends and household!
